"Don't You Know How They Treat Science in the West?"

Films: Jesse James Meets Frankenstein's Daughter (1966)

Alias: None

Type: Natural

Location: Civilized Area

Height/Weight: That of an average human.

Affiliation: Evil

Summary: When you're out of ideas, just throw the monster into spa-no, wait, that's only plan B. What about plan C? Oh yes, throw in cowboys! That'll do it!

History: Maria is the great-granddaughter of Victor Frankenstein, and she's moved to the west to do a little experimenting. She and her reluctant brother and assistant Rudolph have been trying to turn the nearby immigrant youngsters into zombified slaves, but with little success due to Rudolph's tampering. Then Maria gets her hands on Hank, a seriously wounded hunk of a man, and the sidekick to famous outlaw Jesse James. Maria deicides to do what she does best with bodies...

Notable Kills: Nothing special.

Final Fate: Maria attempts to sic undead-Hank on Jesse, but the being goes berserk, and strangles the mad scientist to death. He is then put out of his misery via bullet from Jesse.

Powers/Abilities: None.

Weakness: Anything conventional.

Scariness Factor: 2.5-We aren't so much scared of Maria as we do just hate her. Who steals a bunch of kids to clone an army of undead, anyway?! Her hammy performance doesn't help matters either.

Trivia: -Jesse Woodson James was very much real, and a major member of the James-Younger Gang, one of the most famous robber gangs to come out of the U.S. (Missouri, specifically). They were a loathsome bunch, really.

-This and "Billy the Kid vs. Dracula" were the last films of the prolific and very productive director William Beaudine.
